Last Saturday (29th of May) Frank Petzold caught a monster Spotted Catfish on Bobby 7 from Sudureyri. The fish was 130 cm long and weighted 20 kg. Many years ago (1974) there was one angler in EFSA sea angling club in Iceland who caught one Spotted catfish but he was only few kilos. However this is the largest Spotted Catfish caught by sea rod in Iceland. The deep was around 48 meters and the weather was nice that day. The crew on Bobby 7 is: Bettina Kostial, Anette Wagner, Jens Straube and Frank Petzold. We congratulate Frank with this new reccord, a monster Spotted Catfish 20 kg and 130 cm.
