The 5th Iceland Festival started on Wednesday 9th of June in the bay of Sudureyri. Thilo Weiss welcome all the 82 guest's on 22 boat's and 14.00 o'clock Robert Schmidt fired his shotgun to start the Festival compedition.
The weather in this first day was windy and the condition could have been better. However the fishing was acceptible. After the first day in Sudureyri they caught 7,5 kg Monkfish but the Cod's was not very large. In Flateyri they caught 20 kg Cod, 4 kg Haddack, 9 kg Catfish and 11 kg Monkfish.
